Comments and insights on the name Ceridwen:
Personal experiences with the name Ceridwen:

Having grown up with the name Ceridwen, I can say that it is not an ideal name for a baby. The hard C is almost always mispronounced. The C, E, D, and N make it really hard to spell over the phone: my whole life I have been spelling out my name Charlie Echo Romeo India Delta Whiskey Echo November.
And the most easy to understand nickname is Ceri - which sounds like Carrie, and thus sounds completely mundane and boring!
Trying to actually go by Ceridwen has been impossible, and I have had to settle for nicknames my whole life.

Typical introductions go something like this:
"Hi! My name is Ceridwen."
"Say that again?"
"Ceridwen."
"How pretty!"
"Thanks, my mom gave it to me."
"Care-ih-dwen?"
"Yea."
"Ceridwen. Wow, where did it come from?"
"It's the name of a Welsh Godess."
"Oh, are you Welsh?"
"No. Polish."
"Oh...."

If I had a dollar for every time I had that exact conversation....

So yea, it's a nifty name, but not particularly practical, unless you want you daughter's name to be mispronounced and misspelled for her entire life.
